10 Weight Fly Rods

If you’re looking for a 10-weight fly rod, you know exactly what you’re getting into: Big fish. These fly rods aren’t for rat reds or baby speckled trout; these rods are for throwing big flies to tarpon, GTs, trophy largemouth, and just about anything that makes your heart want to jump out of its chest. Now, just because it’s a beast of a rod doesn’t mean it sacrifices all of the feel (just try a 12-weight). You can still drop a tarpon toad on a dime with this rod and get ready for a rodeo you’ll never forget. Also, if you’re a bass angler dredging the bottom with sinking lines, a ten-weight may be just the thing you need to move those big streamers through deeper water.
