The Epiphany has been one of our most popular rods since we introduced them in 2017. Not only have you shared beautiful photos of your memories on the water, we have listened to your valuable feedback about the original.
Euro style nymphing is a technical style of fishing, and perfect weight distribution and sensitivity is something that competitive nymphing folks are constantly seeking. We redesigned the new Epiphany from scratch, keeping some of the aesthetics you loved about the original, but took the blank and components to another level of quality. We can say without a doubt that the new Epiphany is a massive, tangible upgrade from the original, shaving over 1oz of total weight, improving swing weight and adding premium components and features, leveling up your Euro game. We listened to you and now we deliver!

Haven't had a chance to fish with it yet, but test casting has shown that the tip sensitivity is great and the recovery is very fast.
I'm trying it with a light mono rig and it has great feel and casts a single nymph very well.

Fantastic rod. Far better than my Redington Strike. With the #2 and 6x tippet you can feel everything your fly is doing, not just rocks and light strikes but subtle changes in water currents. Only thing bad I can say is my rod tube was a little bit miss shaped.

Everything we wanted and packaging was very good!

Yesterday was one of the best days of my life. I went out for the 2nd time with my 3wt 10’6 Epiphany and everything clicked. Caught over 20+ wild rainbows and all of them were tight line nymphed. Was amazed at how easy it was to detect the strike and to set the hook…landed several trout over 18” and was blown away at the ability of the Epiphany to play the fish hard…I never lost a fish because of the rod…some of them just broke me off. In retrospect, I was so dialed in with the rod that I just kept casting, landing and then releasing fish…without checking to see if the tippet was abraded (rookie move).
I had a friend with me that was also tight lining but on a standard 9’ 5wt. Let him fish my rod and he immediately hooked up with a huge rainbow and he said “so that is what a really nice euro rod feels like”. I think you will have another Moonshine convert soon.

I purchased this rod 6/20/22 after contacting Moonshine about the upgraded 10'6" 3wt epiphany. Dakota responded very quickly to my email and answered all of my questions knowledgeable and very professionally. The updated version is a massive improvement over the original (I have the original 10'6" 3wt as well). It is lighter in the hand, more sensitive in the tip, retains plenty of fish fighting backbone in the butt section, and has high quality components. I have fished this rod a couple of times a week in very technical tailwater and freestone streams for trout anywhere between 6 and 25 inches. Although I primarily euro nymph; it has also casted and caught 20+ inch fish on tiny dry flies with a micro euro leader at moderate distance. I am able to fish 8+ hour days with this rod with no arm/shoulder fatigue. It handles larger fish on 5.5x and 6x with no issue. The only drawback I have found with the rod is that it is a bit slow to recover when casting. I will be purchasing a 10' 2wt Vesper soon in hopes that the higher quality graphite recovers a bit more quickly. Over all the 10'6" 3wt Epiphany is a great rod at an unbelievable price point. I look forward to fishing more Moonshine rods. Thanks a million Moonshine staff.
